Addiction does not just include drugs and alcohol, but also gambling, sex & pornography, food, shopping/ spending, and the list goes on. It is even possible to be addicted to a person or relationship which is called codependency. There are many theories on the origins of addiction and why it occurs in some and not others as well as different avenues of finding healing from underlying issues. If you are struggling in this area, God understands you do not want to give in to these urges and impulses.
